COVID-19 FAQS

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING TO CREATE SAFE AND HYGIENIC VENUES ONCE YOU REOPEN?

The Corner will be deep cleaned, sanitised and reset in line with the Victorian Government Hospitality Guidelines, and our Covid Safe Plan. There will be physical distancing between tables, lots of handwashing stations and table service so you don’t have to wait in line at the bars.

DO I HAVE TO WEAR A MASK?

Yes, you will be required to wear a mask as a condition of entry. Our staff may ask you to remove your mask momentarily so we can confirm your ID for entry, which is in line with DHHS standards.

Masks must be worn when moving around the venue. Masks can be removed once you are seated at the table so you can eat and drink.

HOW MANY CAN WE BOOK FOR?

You can currently book via our bookings page for up to 10 guests, excluding children under 12. Bookings are recommended.

HOW LONG CAN WE BOOK FOR?

We are currently offering sitting sessions of 1h45min for parties of up to 6; and up to 3 hours for groups of 7+. For larger groups, longer bookings or end of year celebrations please email functions@cornerhotel.com

WILL YOU TAKE OUR DETAILS ON ENTRY?

Yes, we will be required to take your details for contact tracing, they will be kept safely for 28 days and not used for any other purposes

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO DO?

Wash and sanitise your hands regularly, wear your mask when leaving the house, maintain social distancing and continue doing the right thing so we can see you soon.

I PURCHASED A TICKET TO A SHOW THAT DIDN’T GO AHEAD. WILL I RECEIVE A REFUND?

Our bookings team are working to confirm new dates for all shows that were affected by Covid-19. All original tickets will be valid for shows on their new dates. All ticket purchasers should have been contacted via email with any info. Please contact the box office at ticketing@cglive.com.au for all further queries

What should I do if I experience antisocial behaviour in the venue?

The Corner Hotel strives to create a safe & inclusive space for everyone. If you experience antisocial behaviour in the venue please don’t hesitate to speak to a staff member.

I’m a Music Victoria, RRR FM or PBS FM subscriber, how do I redeem my discount?

The Corner offers 10% off food & drinks for all Music Victoria, RRR FM & PBS FM members to say thanks for supporting our local music community. All you need to do is show your card at the bar at time of purchase to redeem. **Offer excludes functions & already discounted items.

Can I purchase tickets over the phone?

Due to Covid-19 restrictions our Box Office will remain closed. Please direct all queries to ticketing@cglive.com.au – You can still purchase tickets 24 hours at cornerhotel.com. ***Please note tickets are no longer available for collection at the Corner prior to doors.***

Looking to buy or sell tickets for a sold out gig?

Tixel is our recommended resale platform for any sold out show. Tickets are verified and will be transferred to your details once purchase is finalised so you can feel secure in your purchase. Lost Property

Lost property remains on site for a limited period of time before being donated or disposed of and we take no responsibility for items left behind at the venue. Please click here to enquire about any lost property.

What are the bookings fees for ticketing?

Booking fees are charged to cover administration and delivery costs as well as bank fees. Booking fees are NOT refundable.

Where can I find the set times for a show?

Set times will be posted on individual show listings one week prior to the show, just click through to the show from our Gigs page for all the info.

Are shows at the Corner seated or standing?

Corner Hotel performances are general admission and standing room only unless otherwise stated on the Gigs page.

Does the Corner have wheelchair access?

The Corner has wheelchair access via a side entrance to the venue. The rooftop bar is fully wheelchair accessible (with the exception of the private dining room) and can be accessed via a lift. Please see staff on arrival or call 9427 7300 to discuss any special requirements.

Can I bring recording devices like audio, tape, camera or film into the Corner?

No, you cannot record an artist’s performance. You would require permission from the artist as per the Copyright Act, as the performance is “owned” by the artist. The authority to allow or not allow such recording devices on the night rests with the artists performing and not the venue.

Why can’t a person under the age of 18 attend shows?

It is venue policy that all our patrons be over the age of 18 in the bandroom. The Corner does hold strictly under age events. See the Gigs page for details.

Does the Corner have a cloakroom?

While Covid-19 restrictions are in place we are unable to run our cloakroom. Please limit bags that you’re bringing to the venue to 30cm x 20cm
